New England Patriots’ players, Mac Jones and Matthew Judon, both filed new federal trademark applications at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) in November.
MJ10 Trademark
Quarterback Mac Jones filed his application for MJ10 under an “intent to use” basis on November 26th. According to the application, his intention is to use the mark on apparel, namely “beanies, hats, pants, shirts, shoes, socks, sweaters, sweatpants, tank-tops, athletic jackets, athletic pants, athletic shirts, athletic shorts, long-sleeved shirts, and long jackets.
Sack Celebration Trademark
Earlier in November, Patriots’ linebacker Matthew Judon filed a trademark application depicting the silhouette of his sack celebration. This application was also filed under an “intent to use” basis for “clothing, namely shirts, tee-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, shorts, pants, sweatpants, socks, hats, headbands, gloves, jerseys, and ties.
